You Cannot Carry Both

There was a place in my life where I knew God was calling me forward, but I could still feel the weight of what I had been through. Not because I wanted to carry it. But because it does not always leave just because you decide it should. And I had to come to a real place with God. A place where I realized I could not keep revisiting what broke me and still fully walk in what He was calling me to.
Something had to be released.
Faith Turning Point
The turning point was not a feeling. It was a decision. A decision to trust God with what hurt me. A decision not to keep going back mentally, emotionally, or spiritually. Because I realized something.
God was not healing me so I could go back. He was healing me so I could move forward.
What I Had to Unlearn
I had to unlearn that healing happens all at once.
I had to unlearn that letting go is a one-time decision.
I had to unlearn that I could carry pieces of my pain and still walk freely in purpose.
Because the truth is, you cannot carry both.
What Restoration Taught Me
Restoration taught me that healing is a process that requires participation.
It is not passive.
It is decisions you keep making with God.
Choosing to release.
Choosing not to pick it back up.
Choosing not to return to what broke you.
And every time you choose Him, you make room for freedom.
Restoration Reminders
You cannot carry pain and purpose at the same time. Healing requires you to release what no longer belongs in your life. God is not calling you back; He is calling you forward. Freedom comes when you choose not to pick it back up.
Mirror Moments
What am I still holding on to that God is asking me to release?
Am I revisiting something God has already brought me out of?
What decision do I need to make today to move forward?

Let That Go
Let go of the need to revisit what broke you.
Let go of the emotional attachment to past pain.
Let go of the belief that you can carry both and still walk freely.

Scripture to Meditate On (AMP)
Isaiah 43:18–19 (AMP) “Do not remember the former things, Or ponder the things of the past. Listen carefully, I am about to do a new thing. Now it will spring forth; Will you not be aware of it? I will even put a road in the wilderness, Rivers in the desert.”
